Welcome to Human Resources –

Hello! On behalf of over 40 experienced and engaged members of the Office of Human Resources, welcome to the California State University, Northridge Human Resource’s web page.

As a group we are committed to our mission of providing excellent human resource programs and services to support the creation and maintenance of an outstanding teaching and learning environment where all people are valued. We fulfill this mission by creating partnerships with our campus colleagues to develop creative systems to attract, retain, develop and engage a diverse and talented group of staff, administrators and faculty.

As a University, we employ more than 4,000 faculty and staff, enroll over 40,000 students, and rank 10th in the nation in bachelor degrees awarded to underrepresented students. New CA Minimum Wage Rate Effective January 1, 2017

Effective January 1, 2017. the California Minimum wage increased to $10.50 per hour. The current hourly salary range for Student Assistants is $10.50 (Minimum) and $17.26 (Maximum). While Los Angeles City employers have raised their minimum wage amount to $12.00 per hour, CSUN employees follow the California State minimum wage guidelines and our current minimum wage rate is $10.50 per hour.

The next anticipated increase to the CA state minimum wage will be to $11.00 per hour on 01/01/2018. (updated 06/2017).
